Create multiple Substack accounts

On Substack your account carries your publication, your Notes and your chats with readers. If you write under more than one name, or edit newsletters for others, give each account its own cloud Android phone.

Lower the costs

Each byline with its own app

Your personal newsletter and your company’s each open on their own cloud phone, so a Note or a reply always goes out under the right name.

Cloud phones

Real Android phones that run in the cloud, so every account gets a full mobile environment without hardware on your desk.

Unique profiles

Each profile is its own phone with its own device details, apps and storage, so accounts never share an identity.

Proxy configuration

Bring the proxies you already use and assign one to each profile, so every account connects from its own address.

Writing a newsletter under your own name and another for your company? Give each Substack account its own cloud phone and never post a Note from the wrong one.

Centralized control

Look after several newsletters

Editors and agencies can add a profile per writer or publication and see which ones have new comments, chats or subscribers.

Frequently asked questions

Can I have more than one Substack account?

Substack sets its own rules in its Terms of Use and Content Guidelines. Read them before you create another account. Cloud phones keep accounts technically separate; they do not change what Substack allows.

Does one account already support several publications?

Yes, Substack lets one account run more than one publication. Separate accounts make sense when publications belong to different people or brands.

Do subscriber lists stay separate?

Yes. Subscribers, payments and stats belong to each publication on Substack. The profile only keeps the account signed in on its own phone.

Do I need a proxy for each Substack account?

We recommend one proxy per profile so that each account connects from its own IP address. It keeps writers who share a team on their own connections. Bring proxies from the provider you prefer and assign them per profile.

How many Substack accounts can I run?

Each account needs one cloud phone profile. You can create as many profiles as your plan includes and add more at any time; see Pricing for the current limits.

Can I open my profiles from another computer?

Yes. The phones run in the cloud, not on your machine, so you can sign in from another computer and every Substack session is where you left it.
